Meet Our Practitioners

Rochester Community Acupuncture opened in January 2009 as a way to offer an alternative to high costs of acupuncture in our community. Along with our colleagues at the Community Acupuncture Network (CAN), we work to employ, encourage, train and mentor licensed acupuncturists who wish to follow the Community Acupuncture clinic model, helping to make acupuncture available to anybody in the U.S. who is interested, regardless of means or insurance coverage.

Janeane Klingler, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.
is NYS licensed acupuncturist and a graduate from The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in Seneca Falls, New York.  Janeane has been a co-owner of Rochester Community Acupuncture since 2008 and is also a Rochester native.

Inspired to open a community acupuncture clinic while in school, Janeane believes acupuncture should be integral to every community and feels honored to be part of a growing movement of sustainable clinics that offer access to simple, safe and effective health care at an affordable cost.

In her spare time enjoys traveling, yoga, collecting music, experimenting with cooking and chasing after her dog Mina.

Angela Pauling, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.
obtained her acupuncture education at The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, in Seneca Falls, New York. She has been a licensed acupuncturist and co-owner of Rochester Community Acupuncture since 2008.

After learning about CAN while she was a student, it became clear that acupuncture should be accessible to everyone, and that the Community Model was a perfect fit for her. "Being able to offer relief from pain, discomfort, emotional disorders and a wide variety of diseases and disorders at an affordable price is a significant achievement for me."

Angela, who has a Masters Degree in Philosophy lives in the South Wedge with her family, follows a cruelty-free vegan diet, and loves to cook, travel, bike and hike.
