Meet Our Practitioners

Rochester Community Acupuncture opened in January 2009 as a way to offer an alternative to high costs of acupuncture in our community. Along with our colleagues at The People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA), we work to employ, encourage, train and mentor licensed acupuncturists who wish to follow the Community Acupuncture clinic model, helping to make acupuncture available to anybody in the U.S. who is interested, regardless of means or insurance coverage.

Janeane Munn, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Janeane Munn, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.
is NYS licensed acupuncturist and a graduate from The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in Seneca Falls, New York.  Janeane is a Rochester native and co-founded Rochester Community Acupuncture in 2008. She currently lives in the Culver-Merchants neighborhood with her husband and feisty dog Mina.

Inspired to open a community acupuncture clinic while in school, Janeane believes acupuncture should be integral to every community and feels honored to be part of a growing movement of sustainable clinics that offer access to simple, safe and effective health care at an affordable cost.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and discovering new eateries, yoga, perusing local antique shops, reading, going to concerts and catching a film at The Little.

Angela Pauling, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Angela Pauling, M.S.A.O.M., L.Ac.
obtained her acupuncture education at The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, in Seneca Falls, New York. She is a NYS licensed acupuncturist and co-founded Rochester Community Acupuncture with Janeane in 2008.

After learning about CAN while she was a student, it became clear that acupuncture should be accessible to everyone, and that the Community Model was a perfect fit for her. "Being able to offer relief from pain, discomfort, emotional disorders and a wide variety of diseases and disorders at an affordable price is a significant achievement for me."

Angela, who has a Masters Degree in Philosophy lives in the South Wedge with her family, follows a cruelty-free vegan diet, and loves to cook, travel, bike and hike.
